Meet Julian Q. Moffett
CEO
Mr. Moffett is the CEO of Moffett Paving & Excavating Corp., a company he has owned since 1981. He is a lifelong resident of Staunton and Augusta County, where he presently lives. Prior to acquiring his company, Mr. Moffett was employed by the City of Staunton for 10 years, serving as director of public works, assistant city manager, and acting city manager. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Staunton Rotary Club. Mr. Moffett is a veteran of the U.S. Army, holds a professional engineering license, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech.
Meet Jay Moffett
President
Jay Moffett is the President of Moffett Paving & Excavating Corp. and has served as a key representative of the company since 1999. Alongside his role as President, Jay wears many different hats including Project Manager and Project Estimator. As the son of Mr. Moffett, he eagerly stepped into the family business and is also a lifelong resident of Augusta County. Prior to his start with the company, Jay earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1999. Since then, Jay has continued to educate himself within the industry by acquiring multiple VDOT certifications and by becoming a member of the Augusta Home Builder’s Association.
